This is my newest painting of the goddess Aphrodite giving life to the statue Galatea, Pygmalion’s creation and great love. Beeing moved by the artist’s feelings for his own creation Aphrodite turned Galatea into a living woman so Pygmalion could marry her. I thing this myth represents me be cause like Pygmalion did I’ve always been in love with the women I use to draw and paint even if they are just creations of my mind and I wish they were real.
